Frequently asked questions

Where does your candy come from?
We import Swedish candy from Swedish and European makers and ship it from Los Angeles. Each product page names the maker where we know it.

Are your candies vegan or gluten free?
Many are. Look for the Vegan and Gluten-free filters in the Pick-n-Mix machine and the Vegan and Gluten-Free collections. According to BUBS, all BUBS candy is vegan and gluten free. Product pages list the ingredients and allergens, so please check them before you order. If a list is missing for a product, email info@swedestthing.com and we will send it. Candy from some makers may be made on equipment that also handles milk, nuts, wheat or soy.

How does Pick Your Mix work?
Choose your candies by the ounce in the Pick-n-Mix machine. The first bag has an 8 oz minimum and each bag holds up to 15 oz. You can add your name to the bag, and we pack it by hand.

What are the house mixes?
Five ready-made mixes: Sweet, Sweet & Sour, Classic, Bubs and Sour. See the House Mixes collection.

Do you offer free shipping and free gifts?
Free shipping on orders of $35 or more. Spend $50 and you can pick a free gift, and at $100 you unlock a bigger one.

Can I use a discount code with a free gift?
Free gifts can't be combined with other discount codes, except special codes we send out ourselves. If both apply to your order, the free gift comes first and the code only discounts the items that don't count toward the gift.

How long until my order ships?
Usually within 1 business day (Monday to Friday, excluding US federal holidays). You will get an email with tracking when it ships.

What if my order arrives damaged?
Email info@swedestthing.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos. See the Shipping page for details.

Can I return candy?
Because candy is food, all sales are final unless the order arrives damaged, incorrect or otherwise defective. See our Returns & Refunds policy.

Do you sell wholesale?
